Molecular Assembly
Assemble molecules from isolated atoms before the
instable environment blows your lab up!
In this arcade-like puzzle game, the stability meter acts as a timer, and you'll need to be fast!
Spot compatible atoms, group them together in molecules, validate. As simple as that!
But be wary: split-up matter won't stay stable for very long...

WHAT IS THE GOAL?
TL;DR - Join atoms together to create molecules before Stability gauge reaches 0. Valid molecules will make Stability better and earn you "Profit" (your score), unvalid ones will only make Stability worse.
(You're about to read an abridged version of the in-game's "Instructions manual", which contains more details, fun annotations, and an easter egg to a secret ending. It's up to you: if you just want a quick summary of the game's mechanics, please continue ; else you should check out the complete Instructions Manual!)
The goal is to create the most molecules as possible from the atoms that will be presented to you. (see screenshot).
To do that, use [Space] to create a selection, and group atoms together. When you have selected what you want, press [Enter] to validate the grid.
Mixing random atoms together will not make a valid (or "stable") molecule
- only some of them are stable, like H-O-H
- You can have as many selections as you want on the grid (see screenshot)
- If you validate an "unstable" molecule, you'll make your stability go down
The unstable environment will eventually blow up if not stabilized quickly!
- Check the "Stability gauge" to know how much time is left
- Stability goes down with time
- To regain stability, validate stable molecules
Your score is counted as "Profit"
- Creating a valid molecule earns you Profit (amount depends on molecule)
- If you validate a molecule that is in the "Very High Demand" screen, its profit is tripled
Have fun, but fast!

Game is made 100% in HTML/JS, with no libraries.
Visual assets and animations were all made by hand using some references as inspiration.
All sound design (= 2 sound effects) comes from a free audio library.
About me: I'm just a small french web integrator that likes to code small game mechanics and concepts during my free time. This is my first complete game, made for my first jam! Hope you'll like it!
By the way, my best score is 488. ^^

Known bugs/issues:
- On the last instruction manual's page: *mini-gaMe (not "mini-gale")
- Same page: a right arrow is displayed, even though there's no page after it
- Game Over animation may not trigger if the game isn't played in a Web browser's window (it works fine on Firefox, Chrome and Edge)
